High-Degree of Freedom Development with TyranoScript

Hello, this is studio wasp!

Today, I'd like to introduce the game engine we are utilizing for the production of this work: TyranoScript.

This visual novel engine operates based on HTML5, which is a major advantage as it allows us to freely design screen movements and layouts using jQuery and CSS. The Cyclopedia and Jukebox features, which I mentioned in the previous Devlog, were custom-implemented using this flexibility. Furthermore, as you can see here ,

it's possible to seamlessly embed a chat-like display within the regular game screen.

Moreover, the original version of our game engine did not support in-screen scrolling. However, with TyranoScript, this is now possible. This has allowed the flowchart to display scene thumbnails for each checkpoint, enabling us to set checkpoints at shorter intervals.

As a result, players will be able to more clearly grasp the scenes they wish to re-read and access them more easily than before.

And notably, TyranoScriptis also available for free. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the developers who have provided such a wonderful tool.

We hope you enjoyed this Devlog! If there's anything else you'd like to know, or if you have any questions about the behind-the-scenes of our game development, please don't hesitate to leave a comment below. Your input helps us plan future Devlogs!
